The weekend of May 1st, all the high school swim
teams in our area held their League Championship meets and our
very own Aimee Lehr was recognized in her
league as the Sierra Valley Conference Coach of the
Year. Aimee is the Black/Red team coach for the Marlins, and
in addition, this year she also coached the Ponderosa High
School girls team, who were the co-league champions with
Oakridge High School. Aimee was extremely honored to receive this
award as she was recognized by her peers for her commitment to her
team. I think we can all agree that Aimee is a
great asset to our SMST family and our swimmers are fortunate
to benefit from not only her technical expertise, but also
her positive approach to both swimming and life! It is a
pleasure to see our Marlins coaches not only doing great
things for our own SMST swimmers, but for other swimmers
in the community as well!
Please join us in congratulating Aimee on this accomplishment
when you see her on deck!
